Battleship HMS Vanguard in Devonport, England,1954.

You can clearly see the thickness of the side armour and the high flared forecastle that made her such a magnificent seaboat.

German heavy cruiser/pocket battleship Admiral Scheer.

The uniform colour (unpainted turret roofs), lack of angled funnel cap, and armorial shield on the bow (removed mid-1939) suggest 1939 at the latest.
